Other Industrial Gases
Carbacid's other Industrial gas supply offers gases in cylinders to meet the needs of heavy manufacturing, large scale construction sites, hospitals, clinics, and commercial applications.
This includes:
- Oxygen
- Acetylene
- Nitrogen
Oxygen (O2)
Oxygen is used with fuel gases in gas welding, gas cutting, oxygen scarping, flame cleaning, flame hardening, and straightening. In gas cutting, the oxygen must be of high quality to ensure a high cutting speed and a clean cut.
Acetylene (C2H2)
Supplied as dissolved Acetylene in Acetone under pressure in special compressed gas cylinders to ensure stability. When ignited with oxygen, acetylene produces the temperature (>3200° C) and the reason regarded as the best for Gas welding and Cutting applications compared to all other fuel gases.
Nitrogen (N2)
The inert properties of nitrogen make it a good "blanketing" gas in many applications. Nitrogen blanketing is used to protect flammable or explosive solids or liquids from contact with air. "Sparging" with nitrogen is the bubbling of nitrogen gas through liquid to remove unwanted volatile component or oxidant air for better shelf life in packed food product.
